Hello! My name is Olesya. I was born in Russia (Izhevsk city - it’s not far from Ural mountains) and lived there till 2007. Then moved to sunny Maldives and now I live here with my family.

Mathematician by education, software developer by profession and traveler by hobby :). Isn’t it great when hobby = work? Once this thought crossed my mind. Dream, act and now I’m already quite experienced in travel business.

Once I got an offer to teach Russian (well, it’s quite popular now in Maldives - a lot of tourists from CIS countries). Sounds interesting, why not to try? It turned out that it’s not that easy for Russian native speaking person to teach Russian. We speak Russian since childhood without thinking of rules. But .. I could not even imagine how interesting it would be for me to teach my native language. While teaching I’m studying too :). And it keeps me in touch with my motherland and culture.

The idea of this website had come when I started teaching my first group (Male’, Maldives). It’s very useful for students to have something they can always refer and refresh previous lessons and topics. And the best part of it - is podcast. Even if you are not in the class you can check your pronunciation listening to the episodes.
